On July 14, CIR president, Terry Pell, and lead plaintiff in Barke v. Banks, Jeff Barke, appeared on the Bob Zadek Show to discuss Section 3550 — a California law that prohibits public employers from deterring or discouraging union membership.  The show explored the origins of Section 3550, the effect it has on the day-to-day work of elected officials, and the important issues that it takes out of the public debate — from sanctuary cities to the global pandemic.
