Companies and Firms that Support Racial Preferences in Admissions
Companies and Firms that Support Racial Preferences in Admissions
Below is a list of nearly 100 companies and firms — ranging from Microsoft to the New York Yankees Sports Network — that submitted joint or individual amicus briefs to the Supreme Court “in support of” the University of Michigan. Although all of these amici argue that racial discrimination in admissions is justified in order to produce more racially diverse campuses and workplaces, none of their briefs defend the specifics of the University of Michigan’s admissions policies, which grant a preference equivalent to a full letter grade to black, Hispanic, and Native American applicants.
