CIR internships and
clerkships
CIR offers a limited number of internships and clerkships on both a full-time and part-time basis. Interested students should send a cover letter, resume, and brief writing sample.
Undergraduate internship program
Full-time and part-time internships are available during summer and the academic year. Interns have the chance to do research, write op-eds, spin the media, and perform other important tasks while working with some of the best lawyers in Washington. Sound appealing? Send your resume to the attention of Terry Pell, preferably by January 31.
Full-time summer clerkships, etc.
CIR offers a limited number of unpaid, full-time summer clerkships and year-round, part-time clerkships. Applicants for a clerkship must have first-rate legal academic credentials, a commitment to public interest work, and excellent writing skills. Decisions concerning summer clerkships are made in the first two weeks of April; applications should be sent by the end of February. Interested students should send a statement of interest, a resume, and a brief writing sample to the attention of Terry Pell.
